Ian Drummond Summer Tournament
Named in memory of a much-loved member of the club, this summer tournament is open to all levels.
It’s a friendly competition that celebrates community, sport, and the spirit of Goslings.
The AGM & Party
Straight after the tournament, we’ll hold our Annual General Meeting.
A chance for members to catch up on what’s been happening, have a say in the club’s future, and get involved if you'd like to.
This your your chance to have your voice heard, put yourself forward to join the committee and help make Goslings even better!
Nominations and/or motions will be submitted to the annual members for voting on Sunday 1st June, alongside our annual financial report.
The voting poll and feedback survey will close Sunday 15th June, and results and announcements will be presented at the AGM.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

TOURNAMENT
CitySport, 124 Goswell Road, London EC1V 7DP
10am until 5pm - Don't be late!

Players will compete in doubles pairings. You should still register if you do not have a partner or wish to be allocated one closer to the time.

The morning session will be six round-robin groups, each group with six pairs of mixed ability.

The afternoon session will be a further six round-robin groups of six pairs, split into categories based on results from the morning session (two A, two B and two C groups).

Results in groups will be decided first on number of wins, then (if necessary) on points scored.

All round-robin games will have no setting, i.e. first to 21 wins.

The top two pairs in each group will proceed to knockout stage consisting of semi-finals, final and third-place play-off for each category. Format of these will depend on time available.

Feather shuttles will be used for the entire day.

We reserve the right to amend the format if circumstances require.

Please bring your own lunch and water – Tesco and Waitrose are both five minutes away.

We'd like to invite all Goslings members, playing and non-playing join us for the AGM, and party after the tournament.
Medals will be presented at 6.30pm followed by the AGM.
Buffet dinner will be served at 7.30pm.

(Members may buy 1 guest ticket if required for £30)
